Massage during pregnancy: what should you know?

Home › Blog and massage guides

Many expectant parents would welcome a quiet break. Whether massage is suitable depends on the individual pregnancy and the provider. Under its current terms, Sabayking does not offer massage during pregnancy.

In brief

Pregnancy massage cannot be booked at Sabayking. Discuss symptoms and suitable services with your midwife or maternity care team.

What the studio terms say

Sabayking’s current terms and conditions explicitly exclude pregnancy from the massage offer. This applies to all treatments, including foot massage. A specialist pregnancy service elsewhere may have different arrangements.

Discuss symptoms individually

Back discomfort, leg swelling and sleep problems can have different causes in pregnancy. Speak to your midwife or doctor about new, severe or unusual symptoms. Wellness must not delay medical assessment.

If you look for specialist care elsewhere

Ask a provider who explicitly works with pregnant clients about training, positioning, treatment areas and their approach to medical concerns. Check with your maternity care professional whether massage is suitable for you.

A break without a massage

Rest and comfortable movement can be part of daily life when your care team considers them suitable. Ask them for advice that fits your pregnancy.
